Hi guys, i recently bought a 2000 ES300 thats throwing the knock sensor malfunction code (P0330). After doing a bit of reading, from what I gather, if the knock sensor is malfunctioning, the car goes in to limp mode or reduced power mode but my car is driving fine, idles at well below 1k rpm, fuel consumption seems ok for its age ~14l/100km in city. Now I also read that replacing this knock sensor is expensive since its an involved process. I'm not willing to spend $1000 for a $2000 car if its running fine. Could I just ignore this code or would it lead to more permanent more expensive damage later on?
Thanks
Tony
