Hi guys, I have a 2002/09 ES300 and I am getting a P0306 CEL, which is injector 6 misfire. I realized that an animal went into the engine compartment and bit the injector 6 connector wire. After I replaced the connector and wire, I am still having the same issue. I checked my harness and everything looks fine. I did a continuity check and everything passed. Injectors were good also. I opened the wire grounding signal right after the ECU and checked if I am getting a ground pulse and I wasn't. I believe my ecu for just that pin went out. The ECU part number is 89666-33440. I went to used parts store and bought an ECU for a 2003 ES300 also, but I just realized when I was trying to mess with the immobilizer that the new ECU has a different part number. It is 89666-33441. Does anyone know if this ECU will work for mine? I tried searching but I didn't find anything about this. I'm also worried that I won't be able to figure out how to make the new ECU work with the immobilizer. I read the post about hacking it and also replacing the IC900, but I am not confident enough with my skill to be able to do those. Is there any other options instead of taking it to a dealer? Does anyone know how much they would charge or even a locksmith?
Thank you for any input!

If you go to this site you'll see that both or your ECUs change up to the same part number so looks like you're good. Don't know how much this would cost at a locksmith depends on where you live etc. I've seen people get it done for about $200. Maybe find an electronic shop that can swap the chip for you. Also check out this company they may be able to help

The 1 at the end of the part number means it is the updated version of the ecu you already have. If you can find a hole in the wall computer repair store there is almost always someone that can swap out a chip. Just swap IC900 from the old to the new and the ecu will be "plug and play".
