Cool

Trtust me, if everyone could afford new, we'd all prefer that.

Actually I have severial friends with great luck buying off a 3 year leases. Other than all the "minor crap", like scratches & worn carpeting, they seemed to turn out all good. I personally would be more careful, but it aint my money!

WHEELRZ I love that! Take it to the Lexus dealer so it will cost them out the butt!

I'm with steviej also... Make them pay for renting a Lexus from your dealer. That would just be icing!

Don't listen to LexDiamond.....you'll have to sell the new car to pay for the criminal defense attorney to defend the insurance fraud charges that may follow!

Insurance fraud? I never encouraged such. Actually I am appauled by anyone who attempts to defraud someone. He said he had neck pain. I mearly suggested to him the approach my friends took and the outcome(s). THEIR IS NO INSURANCE FRAUD WHEN THEN INSURANCE OFFERS $ just because he is using the services YOU ARE ENTITLED TO! My friend was going to the chiropractor as suggested. He never asked for any $. The insurance offered a quick settlement to avoid it!

Also...If you are driving a Lexus and you need a loaner/rental, you are entitled to a "equal vehicle".

I.E. The same exact model if available by any local rental company. My Lexus ES300 was totalled last fall and I received a fully loaded maxima since they had no Lexuses available. My insurance company would have paid for a Lexus at Budget but I was under 25 so I had to go a rental company that accepts 21+

My pleasure

After seeing the picures I'm sure that this damage can be repaired so you would never know the car was ever hit.

LexDiamond-

WHEELRZ did not state he was injured, only that the car was damaged. LexDiamond suggested he go to the chiropractor three times a week for three months, after which the insurance company for the responsible party will immediately settle for $4,500.00, or wait it out and go for $10,000.00. You will also note you are the only one who posted such a suggestion. Knowingly presenting a false or fraudulent claim is a felony.

I am going to assume that if WHEELRZ had the money to buy the car, he doesn't need to commit a felony just because it was in an accident.....and that is exactly what he would be doing if he treated for a non-existent injury and took money from an insurance company for that non-existent injury. LexDiamond's attitude is precisely why we have to pay so much to insure our cars.

Cool

Digging for gold here man.

All though I don't condone it, when my '93 corolla wrecked, Progressive couldn't come to terms with what the car was worth in it's condition.

After inflating the retail costs for a (just out at the time) Aiwa MP3 cd head unit, Infinity Kappa 5.5's and misc sub/amp equipment, they came to terms with what the car + stereo were actually worth. Even threw in the new tires LoL!

FYI Insurance premiums are caused by many factors.

You can justify it any way you want to, if you are not hurt and you claim you are to get money it is not right.

Well since the accident the wife does not drive the car and does not fell safe in the car. We are trading it in for a 04 Mercedes C230. I enjoyed driving the lexus but I have to have a car that my wife will drive. If anyone is interested I am selling my 18 inch Fusion Deuce chrome wheels, will send a pic of them on my Lex if you email me. I only had them since Aug and took them off the first week in November.

Good choice to go with Mercedes. Despite widespread press that this brand is going down the tubes re: quality, their vehicles are solidly built, last a long time and turn heads wherever driven.
