Man your car reminds me of my mother's old es3. Here was identical except it was auto. I tried to tell her to get a 5-speed she was not interested. Funny back in 1996 NO ONE wanted one. The Lexus dealer has plenty pre-owned in stock back then and negotiation was easier on manual!

I painted the mirrored housing in the headlight with glossy black paint. It's a nice mod to do while you're clearing your corners. It gives your dark colored ES a whole new look!

Wow looks good! What's the deal with front plates?

Ohio is pretty strict about having front plates. It's an 85 dollar ticket if you don't have one on. Thanks to all for the compliments -- they are greatly appreciated!

What about putting on a special or customized license plate on the front (like mine in the sig)? Is that also ticketable? I've been living here in Connecticut for 2 years, and even though the DMV requires license plates on the front and back, nobody around here cares if you have a front license plate or not.

what engine mods do you have mcelligott? Everyones always talking about your car, i was just wondering what you have thats different?

Currently I have all of my headwork done (3 angle valve job, ported,polished, milled heads, custom valve springs) my rpms max out at 7500 now :eek: 75-150 shot wet kit of nitrous, full suspension work, intake, act 2600 clutch. I lost a lot of small custom mods, such as ignition, etc when my engine bay caught on fire from steam when my head gaskets blew. There's a lot of other small mods that are a pain to list, but you should get a general idea from the rare ones i listed here. The car still drives like a dream after years of abuse and 167,000 miles.
