Default Ac compressor whine

What could be a solution or cause to an ac compressor that whines as you accelerate. As long as the ac is on you hear a whine. If you turn the ac off then the car becomes silent. Apart from that , i have no issues with my ac compressor. It cools very well, but its just the whine that annoys me! Could the ac compressor be short of compressor oil? 2004 Es330 if it helps.

Thanks,

Could be the alternator when the compressor engages it puts more "weight" on the alternator pulley. Or maybe your compressor is simply going bad.

I doubt its the compressor because it cools ice cold. I am starting to suspect the alternator though, because i also get some whining sound when i turning the steering wheel, thats when the vehicle is stationary ofcourse. Anyway to further test the alternator?
