Default Climate Control Lighting

I have a 2004 ES330 and was wondering if these buttons are supposed to light up like the other buttons when my headlights lights are on? The indicators do work when I'm using any of those functions. And the photo shown is with headlights on.

Yeah, they should light up. I had to replace mine as they burned out.

Quick update. I ended up finding the OEM bulbs on eBay and replaced 3 of them and now all buttons are lit up as they should be.

For anyone that needs info on the bulbs; Toyota OEM bulbs with green cap part number is 90010-03049.

This helped- I thought it was by design until I saw this post- had 2 lights out on the control unit- bought the bulbs off amazon with the part number provided. I bought all 5- might as well replace them all since I have the control unit out and open.

Thanks

I replaced all mine also when I replaced my climate control unit. BTW is your key hole ring green or white? The circular one
