I read in a auto magazine(can't remember which one) that because of the engine upgrade coming
with the 2004 ES model, the name of the model would be changed to ES330 in 2004. Is this true?
If so will the name change be the only change to the outside styling?

Lexus just restyled the ES in 2002. I have a 2003. I'm going to be really p.o. if I have an outdated bodystyle
only 1 year into my ownership. I trade every 4-5 years in order to keep a current bodystyle

 

if you do a search on "ES330", I think you will find what changes will be made.
The body style will stay, the engine larger, the tranny revised (supposedly) and some other stuff.

engine should be a 3.3 liter (thus es330) vs a 3 liter you have now. body style should remain the same.
