Default Mirror memory

I need to replace a driver's side mirror. I am looking for mirror with memory. Some mirrors only specify a wire count of either 5 or 9. I am assuming 9 is with memory. Can anyone confirm if a 9 wire side mirror is with memory? Are they also 12-pins? Here is a close-up image of the connector.

Hello,

If that is for the 1999-2001 Lexus ES300, the connector that you have on photo is exactly what you need. As I understood, there is two different versions of the connector: 6 wires and 12 wires; 6-wire one was discontinued with the restyling of 1999-2000, their only option was power adjustment. Then, after facelift, mirrors received a new 12-pin design, yet therein lies the rub, since the new design could have 9 or 11 wires coming to it (if you will look at the connector close enough, you will see that not all the slots are filled up). That is where it gets confusing, I wasn't able to figure it out completely: it seems like only 11-pin mirror has the memory, the part number for it is 87940-33380 (letter and number after the Serial Number relates to color).
In conclusion, I would better off look for a mirror that says "With Memory" or 11-pin one.

Hope this helps and best of luck!
