Default 2000 ES300 vacuum line replacements

I'm debating whether to replace the valve cover gaskets (small leak on rear developing). And after 20 years, I am thinking I should proactively replace all of the rubber vacuum lines as well. I'm sure once I start moving them, they will crack and break off during the gasket job.

Has anyone compiled a list of all of the rubber hoses that need to be replaced? Are these just Toyota part numbers or cut to fit generic sizes? Any suggestions on how to go about this welcome.
Any video links would be great too!
Thanks

Hello,

The rubber hoses in my 2000 Lexus ES300, which came from Arizona, are all in great condition. I don't really think that you will break anything, given that you are careful enough.
But just in case, here is a detailed drawing of all the vacuum hoses in the car.

Hope this helps and best of luck!

You are smart to think of this. I did it five years ago when they were failing in my MILD climate.

You do not need to go pay silly dealer prices. Go get gas/oil line grade house from your local Napa, O'Reilly, whatever. Cut/snip it to fit where you see the need. I have posted on this issue in the past; there are a few difficult ones so search my old posts and save yourself time and money.

But YES, do it.

Can you suggest the sizes needed for these vacuum hoses? Thanks

In general, vacuum hose inside diameter is 3.5mm, and for the length you can refer to the chart below.

Top tip: Just go to the LexusPartsNow and buy a 90999-92003 tubing, it costs only $2.33 for 600mm, which is the cheapest price for the OEM tubing from the official dealer.
I was able to find only 2 places where you will actually need a longer 90999-92004 (900mm and 750mm), which costs around $12.

Frankly I would get an OEM Toyota tubing, since, unlike all those NAPA and other tubing, it is metric, hence why it will fit much better. Toyota tubing is also much more superior it terms of quality and durability, and the price for the 90999-92003 is right on pair, or even cheaper than all those other aftermarket solutions.

Have a great new year and best of luck!

It seems like you won't need much, I would get 4-5 of them (2400-3000mm), just in case, since they are pretty cheap anyway..
Don't forget that there are also two 90999-92004, they are much lower than a valve cover, and I don't think that you will affect them in any way during a gasket replacement, but you still need to be mindful of that..

Let us know how it goes, I am also planning on replacing those gaskets..
Hope this helps and best of luck!
