Well I went into autozone today cuz for a while my lights have been getting really dim especially when im running my amp hard. Turns out I had a oduble wammy a bad battery and alternator the battery most likely went bad because of the alternator, well lukily the battery was still under warranty but the alternator was a diff. story. Well after some extensive searching I found it for $142.00 shipped thats including the core charge. Autozone and checkers wanted upwards of 170 plus a core charge so I ordered the cheaper one hehe.

a good idea would be to change the wires from teh battery to teh alternator and the starter and ground for the body under the battery tray as well
it made a great difference
also the lights may dimat idle which is a comon problem
toyota changed teh pulley wheel size to a smaller one to spin faster at idle now
so you might just end up with the same problems again if it is just a repaired old style one
with the larger pulley
