'01 ES300 VSV on charcoal canister part number?
My mechanic ran a smoke test on my '01 ES300 today to troubleshoot a P0446 code. When I first spoke to him, the diagnosis was a bad vapor canister. After digging for a little more information he told me that the smoke led him to the VSV on the canister but that it was necessary to replace the entire canister because Lexus doesn't sell just the VSV. His story matches up with what I've read that others have been told by dealers, but I also know that people here have been able to replace just the VSV.
The part number I've found for the entire canister is 77740-33122, but I haven't been able to figure out what the number for the VSV (for Pressure Switching Valve) per my FSM) is? Does anyone know that number?
With 230k+ on the car and lots of uncertainty about how long I'm going to keep it, what route would you guys recommend? Aftermarket VSV? OEM VSV? Aftermarket canister? Used or new OEM canister?
Thanks.

Based on the other thread you have, I had this exact problem. Codes threw me the valves and the charcoal canister going bad, so I replaced the charcoal canister, and still got the codes. Turns out my cat converter had a hole in the catalyst material.. Approach this carefully.
