Default Turn signals and Hazard switch not working

I have searched but possibly the wrong way. When I search it searches through all forums. Gives me a LOT of info LoL!

Our new to us 98 Es300 turn signals and hazards do not work. I have checked the fuses inside the car and the one in the engine bay both fuses are good. Checked the back light bulbs they are good. I am reading that it's either the relay or possibly the hazard switch itself. Anyone have any info they would like to share to help me solve my problem? Where is the relay?

Any info would be great help,
Thanks
Paul

If the hazard switch is not plugged in or I guess broken, it will disable the hazards and turn signals. I found this out when working on the radio because you have to unplug the switch to get to everything else.
Remove the AC Vents above the radio and check the connection to the switch.

Here is a video I made a while back about fixing the radio. At 1:05 you can quickly see how I remove the AC vents.

Good luck with the repair and welcome to the forum!

Replace the hazard then I guess move on to the flasher relay...

It was the hazard switch. Went to a local pull apart. Found the hazard switch. It's working! Now to move on to my wheel issue. Looks like a previous owner added some 17" rims that are Lexus branded. I am looking for info on what size rim will fit without scrubbing. I am going to the junk yard again and seeing what they have for wheels. Will 6th gen wheels fit?

Glad to hear the issue is fixed. Those wheels you have now are from the 5th gen ES350 2007-2009. I would recommend looking for 16" wheels due to their ride quality and cost advantage. The suspension was really designed for 15/16" wheels and it makes a big difference when you exceed those sizes.

Thanks for your reply. I will definently look for either 15" or 16". I thought the ride was good with the 17s. I also have a 2015 Prius so anything rides better than that lol! I have researched the wheels and it looks like any Lexus wheel will work. Hope they have some with decent tread! LoL
