Hi, My wifes 03 ES300 is having an intermittent electrical issue where the gauge cluster, shift interlock, radio, windows, door locks, compass, and seats dont work at all but tjhe car runs fine. I've checked all fuses and I cant readily duplicate the issue. Hitting the brakes will sometimes cause the issue but its very intermittent. I replaced the brake switch but that didnt work, Im thinking its a loose connection. Any hints on where to look?
Thanks
Thanks

Test or have the alternator tested for a failed voltage regulator. A failed rectifier diode can send AC voltage into the system which makes weird, multiple failures. You can detect it by looking for ac voltage at the battery terminals, among other ways.
I don't know what this failure typically "looks like" in an ES300, but have seen similar on other vehicles. Just a possibility, not a certain cause.
