Help needed regarding newly purchased 05 ES 330
Good morning to all respected members, I have bought ES 330 this week from a towing company as I bought it for a reasonable price of $3100 and had one owner, the car has 96000 miles and was stationary at a parking lot since March this year, after inspecting the car I haven't seen any problem as it runs smoothly and no warning lights were on, later on at home i am encountering few issues:
1. The hood release cable is almost free when I pull the button and the hood is not opening unless I try two-person method to open it.
2. All the side doors are not coming down not only from the master controller but also from individual door controllers, although there is a clicking sound when pressing the button.
3. Do i need to change all the fluid and timing belt and how to find out that the belt needs replacement?
Thanks in advance

Hello,
$3,100 for a one-owner, 96,000 miles ES330 is an exceptional deal, you've got lucky with that.
For the hood cable, visually inspect it and see what shape it is in. There should be plenty of them at the junkyard, and it shouldn't be too hard to replace if it is indeed bad.
If you are not sure about the history of the car, and considering the fact that the car was sitting for a while, I would really suggest you to check and/or replace all the fluids. As for the timing belt, take the plastic cover off and see if it was recently replaced. The lifetime of that belt is around 80,000 miles. If not, replace it as soon as possible, preferably together with tensioner and water pump. Use only Genuine or Mitsuboshi (there is no typo in the name) and Aisin parts.
What do you mean by doors not "coming down"? Does it mean they won't lock? Check all the fuses in the car, see if any of them are blown, here is a fuse diagram.
Hope this helps and best of luck!

If you mean that your windows won't roll down, you can try this:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es-...on-t-open.html
That worked for my rear driver's side window. Occasionally when it gets really hot and humid, my front driver's side window won't roll down, but it works again when it cools down.
