Hello,

If a Part Number matches, Toyota parts are completely identical to Lexus ones, though that said, parts with identical numbers generally tend to cost around the same for Lexus and Toyota. There are some cases, like at ToyotaPartsDeal and LexusPartsNow, where Lexus parts may sometimes be a couple of dollars more expensive, I am not sure why is that though.. On rare occasions, some parts are unique to Lexus, and that is where problems start, since those tend to get a bit pricey.

There is also something you need to remember - there is a difference between interchangeable and identical parts. If the part fits in your car, it doesn't mean that it is the same one, like struts for example - struts for Camry will fit in Lexus, but it doesn't that they are identical, and you will get the same ride quality from them.

In short, if number is identical, it will be the same exact part. Just don't tell Toyota dealership that you are looking for parts on Lexus, that will put you in some hot water..

Hope this helps and best of luck!

I will add one caveat. Two different part numbers can change up to the same part number, making you think the parts are identical. A notable example is struts, for some Lexus models the number changes up to a Toyota part, which is not the same. Valving is different. Form factor they are identical. I've seen this happen with exhaust parts, the new part/number is not as good as the original but fits the same.
