Default Knock Sensor Issues

I have a 99 ES 300. It's been a great car. The issue I'm having is my local shop can't fix the knock sensor issue. He's replaced the harness, etc. Getting volts to it so it's still working. Just can't get it fixed. It affects the shifting into overdrive and creates extremely slow take off. I don't want to take it to Lexus but he can't seem to get it to stay fixed. It also has blown through all cool packs and they have been replaced.

Thank you.

Hello,

What codes in particular are you getting?
What do you mean by "Getting volts to it"? Sensors in that car produce their own AC voltage.
Did you check the wiring? I don't only mean the harness you replaced, the wiring up to the ECU?
Did the car blow through all coil packs at once? When did you replace your spark plugs and wires? Coils really don't like if spark plugs weren't replaced in a while or if the gap is set incorrectly, it puts quite a bit more stress on them. I assume you have a pre-facelift vehicle with no VVT-i and only three coils, bad wires can also cause issues for coils.

Please collaborate on the issue so it will be easier to understand what causes it.

Hope this helps and best of luck!
