Windows and Moon roof randomly opened
Aloha everyone,
So I have a 2005 ES330 and earlier today I walked out to the living room where my roommate was sitting and she asked me if I had been clicking the remote on my car and I said no. I walk into the kitchen and said keys keys have been sitting on the kitchen counter. We walk outside and see that all my windows are down and the moon roof is open like someone held down the unlock button.
We looked around to see if anyone was outside hitting their remote and maybe it was just interference but there wasn't anyone.
I rolled up my windows and it hasn't happened since. It's been raining a lot and fortunately I park in the car port so nothing got wet.
Has anyone had this problem before?
Thanks

Hello,
It seems like that function is only triggered by the remote, you can take a look if it functions properly, and if it is clean on the inside. That said, if that function can also be triggered by the lock cylinder, you can also take a look at the lock cylinder position switch, here is what happened to me back in the day, in short, my alarm system was acting precariously to say the least, and it turned out that the position switch on the driver's door fell off in the locked position.
If that was the only time it happened, it will be a bit difficult to diagnose one precedent. If you don't want that function to work at all, you can either go to the Lexus dealership and ask them to turn it off, or get a MiniVCI cable.
Hope this helps and best of luck!
