Greetings all..

I have a questions about the 1st generation ES 300 1MZ-FE engine.

- I read this engine has weak valve seats and can fail. Is this isolated incident or a reoccurring problem? If so, what are the causes, and at what millage?

- What are some of the common issues that occur with this gen ES 300?
- With proper maintenance is it generally reliable and major-trouble-free car?

I've heard of this issue, have yet to see someone that had it. The 1MZ 1997+ does not like it when oil changes are neglected, they will sludge if poorly maintained. Otherwise one of the best engines every built.
