How old are these plugs?

My Mk1, Md0 optical instrument says the gap has widened a fair bit. But measure to be sure.
To get old plugs out w/o hassle, squirt some Kroil in there and let it soak a little. Doing it on a hot engine also helps a lot.

Hello,
The gap should be 1.1mm.
From what I can see, plugs look quite old. Bad part about old plugs is that they start frying ignition coils because of an increased load. While yours don't look terrible, if you don't know when was the last time those were replaced (if at all), you will probably be better off replacing those.
Hope this helps and best of luck!

FWIW, you do have options on plugs. The factory Iridiums are fantastic plugs. I've also had incredible success running the Autolite Iridium for this car, which often w/rebate are quite cheap. Code is XP3923. Given the difficulty of changing the back bank, iridium is really the only way to go.
I've had two coil failures on the car in 320k miles. Fortunately both were front/left bank. Don't get jammed up with a rear bank failure because the plugs were neglected.
