Default next planned mods...not quite ricey enough for me

next mods: a Trust oil catch tank (this is on windom97's car, if youve seen it on cardomain) and i think its a good, reasonably-priced mod to perform
then...an intake with a cold wrap around the pipe, a heat shield around the filter, and a hidden scoop behind the front grill (if this is possible, given the room) to give it some ram air action
gimme some opinions, whether you say its rice or not

I agree with MCV20. Actually I'll go even farther. Don't rack your brains out on either one K? Nothing much to gain. Eespecially with the ram air pipes. IMHO That was much more of a monkey see-monkey doo thing that came along anyways.

At the most all they would do is circluate some of the air around the box, and only at relatively high speed. It's allready moving so... If you want a circle behind your grill go for it

Call me crazy but I pulled my pipe off about 3 weeks after I stuck it on. I just had a friend that custom bent me some pipe for me last car, to cut and bend it more for the ES. I really didn't like the attention it brought. Traded the pipe and filter to him for a trip to grab a K&N filter.

IMHO unless you want the sound of the intake just grab a filter. They givee the same small power gain, one just minus the sound.

Heh... I just like giving alternate opinions.Everything else is allready covered to death. Actually... It's been covered severial times out stock airbox with a K&N filter is as good if not better than a pipe and ccone filter. Go figure. Saves in modding & maintinace costs though

its all for show use though...i know it wont gain hp...im not looking to do that (unless i get a custom turbo ), but that intake would get a few more points out of the judges

Catch cans are pretty easy to make yourself. My DSM buddies just use a beer can or a pop can with tubing, but I guess if you're going for show, you can waste 50 bucks on something you can make for 50 cents.

mcelligott, are you a true ricer... using uncle bens cans to make intakes.... HAHA! j/k

Hoebag, my boy, check this out.. I just purcahsed this and should have it within the next couple of weeks. They have an application specifically for our car. Make sure you read the article as well. You see one thing that I hear the most is that Intakes do not work, I have had this intake system on a previous car, and trust me this is no bull****, if it was I would not be purchasing it again.
