Wow... How in the F$#@ do you get these seals out of the camshaft housings!? I have been working the front one for over an hour and it looks like its been beaten with a sledge hammer at this point and I dont want to mess up the cam shaft or the aluminum housing.... I cant even FATHOM how I am gonna get the rear one out!! .. Any ideas here anyone?

Lisle makes a seal removal tool I've used it, it sucks. My preferred method is drill a small hole then use a machine screw and a nail puller. This works every time, but you will need an angle drill small enough to fit between the strut tower and seal. The proper way is use a professional tool like this
Amazon Amazon

Don't lose patience or you'll damage the cam surface and you'll have a leak.

I actually ordered one of those Lisle tools tonight in hopes that will get the seals off. Were you at least able to get the seals out with that tool? ... even if it sucks...

Yes it works if you're patient. But I've seen people ruin the cam with it so be very careful.

I have had good luck with Lisle 58430 shaft type seal puller. Found it works better if you rotate the tool and work the seal out from several different spots instead of going for broke in one spot.

The Lisle 56750 oil seal puller tool looks a lot riskier. I have witnessed this tool score a crankshaft.....

Lisle 58430 is the one I used was not impressed. You can get the seal out if you monkey around with it, better than nothing. The Lisle 56750 aka pick axe is a ridiculous tool lol.

I found the best tool you can get for free.... A paint can opener! It has a wide surface area so it doesn't dig into the camshaft like a "pick" and it has a ring handle so you can get a good grip on it, or slide a bar through the hole to really pull on the seal. WORKED GREAT!
