Hi guys,
I asked the local Toyota dealer to install a Solora Strut bar and also 4 Tokico blue struts on my
'99 ES .
Then I took my car for a road trip from Pennsylvania up to Boston to visit my sister the next day...
I feel so happy with the 'modifications' that I feel I have to tell the forum about this.
Anyone wishing to improve the control and handling of their cars should really consider putting
the strut bar on. Also, the Tokico struts gives me much more confident handling
on corners and high speeds.
I took the car up to 100 miles and hour (only for a few minutes), and it felt
much more stable than the standard Lexus struts. Also felt much better on the curves.
So, go for the modifications if you can.
Tim

It sounds like he bought the factory strut bar for the V6 Solara from a Toyota dealership. It should fit your 2000 ES, since they're both the same chassis code (MCV20).

I think those strut bars are on any Solora, not necessarily the V6 models.
Thats because I had to go out on the lot and show the parts guy the actual strut bar (he didnt know what a strut bar is) , and the model that I showed him on is actually a non-V6 Solora convertible.

The Solara strut bar does not have any clearance issues. Timoc42, can you post a pic? I was thinking of this, but didn't know what to do with that semi-circular metallic spacer that was in there originally? Did they remove that?
Thanks
