aftermarket headunit install issues in 2003 es300
I'm working on a 2003 es300 with factory nav & premium sound, with the objective to put in a reverse camera and a sony double din head unit
I've got a APP0258 ISO-Lexus adapter that seems to allow the head unit to power on and control the antena but there is no sound output. I've managed to hook up the new reversing camera with no issues.
I cant seem to find any wiring diagrams that match what I am seeing in the car. I am assuming I need to trigger the amp, and that perhaps the adapter harness doesnt match the pinouts on the car properly
Photos below. Any advice appreciated.
Worst case, if I can get the reverse camera to work with the factory head unit that would probably keep the driver happy if theres a way to do that.

Hello,
It will be a little difficult to tell something, since you only pictured a factory pigtail and not the wiring to the unit. Here you can find a ton of useful information about stock navigation unit, such as connector pinouts and instructions on how to hook up a rear view camera to it.
As for which head unit to use, it all pretty much comes to a personal preference, since you can hook up a camera to both of them. As for me, I try to stay as close to OEM look as possible, not to say that you already have a premium sound system, but to each their own..
Hope this helps and best of luck!
