Default Side Mirror Switch gone bad

The switch used to control the driver/passenger side mirrors no longer works. Can't move any of the mirrors up/down/left/right

Switch gone bad? Fuse? Where is the fuse for the switch located? Thanks as always

Hello,

There is actually not a whole lot that could go wrong in that system. Check ECU_ACC 5A fuse, if that's good, take the switch out and check that it is operational. If none of that will help, and all the other systems function as intended, like memory seats, you may need a new Outer Mirror Control ECU, which should be located under the climate control in the center console, Part Number for it is 89430-33030, you can find one on eBay for pretty cheap.

Hope this helps and best of luck!

Everything else is working- the light dimmer next to the mirror switch is working as it should. Where is that fuse located? I see a Youtube video where the compartment where you keep the change comes out with a bunch of fuses behind it? Is that the location for the fuse?

Here is the link where you can find the location of all the fuses in the car. The Mirror Control ECU should be located right next to the Wiper Relay, marked on one of the diagrams.

Hope this helps and best of luck!

Update- replaced the mirror relay today and the side mirrors and memory seats are working again (part #89430-33030- $15 from ebay)

I was able to access the relay very easily by removing the console and climate control unit- snaps right out. I did have some trouble disconnecting the electrical connection and getting the old relay out. Looked like there was one bolt that was holding the bracket that the relay install onto. Removing this bolt would allow you to properly pull out the unit and remove the old relay. I didn't have the tools with me to remove the bolt so I just left the old relay in there and connected the new one and just let it hang off to the side

All is good- thanks arsenii
