Hello all,

I am looking into purchasing an aftermarket alternator for my 2003 ES300. The aftermarket unit would be used to power an amplifier with subwoofers. I was curious to know if there is a possible direct fit alternator from a larger vehicle with a higher output that I could use instead of forking out a good 200-300 dollars for an HO unit online. I could have sworn I saw a thread some weeks ago about maybe even a Toyota Highlander or something along those lines fitting, but I cannot find the thread. Engine is the standard 1mz-fe 3.0 V6. 2003 Highlander Denso 130 amp is a direct swap into my 2000 ES300 so I'll assume same deal for you. Can't 100% confirm since I have not actually done it on a 4ES.
