Maybe the solenoid you swapped in is no good since it is also used. Also check the VVTi screens they may be clogged.

Thanks for the reply check the screen behind the 14mm bolt took it out cleaned it dipped it new oil reinstalled filters if it was VVT solenoid why wouldn’t it throw a code for it being bad ? And would it cause misfire codes ?

Should be a code but not always. Any chance there is rodent damage? Prior to this did the engine run well and not burn oil? If possible post your short term fuel trims. Random misfires are caused by the VVTi solenoids flaking out I'd say 90% of the time.

Thanks for the info I bought this car two weeks ago today previous owner had all kinds of new parts in this car was there daily driver said it ran perfect but we’re not willing to deal with the misfire issue or put any more money into the car even the transmission looks new or rebuilt they bought a newer Lexus sold me this car no oil leaks engine is very clean im going to end up buying a new vvt sensor for bank 2 see what happens can’t hurt tried everything else is Dorman ok brand vvt sensor ?

Dorman is bottom of the barrel, avoid. You have to buy a genuine part, not from Ebay (Unless from an actual Lexus/Toyota dealer) or good chance you'll get a fake. Same with Amazon, fakes everywhere. A clogged catalytic can cause this issue or so I've read have not seen this first hand.

Do you have access to a help yourself salvage yard? Could grab 2-3 solenoids see if you can affect a change.

I am feeling your pain right now. Same 4 codes and only those codes! Did you ever resolve? Right now I am on the hunt and peck plan as my scanner does not show live data. Coils seem fine, timing belt is both recent and on its marks, replaced OCV and cleaned injectors. New plugs as well…. Appreciate any insight

Hello
Finally got the car running again runs great $2700 later took it to s local mechanic I know he had more diagnostic tools and tools than I did got the car back ended up being a bad camshaft phaser gear and yes this car does have one he also replaced both knock sensors for bank 1 & 2 with new wire harness brand new timing belt kit with water pump after everything I checked like you’re checking I would have never fixed the car so broke down and had it towed to shop runs great now lots of power hope this helps for you and all that checked everything like I did good luck to all with same misfire codes on one bank
Cheers 🍻
