Rear Light Failure Warning Indicator still on after changing bulb
My 2005 ES330 Rear Light Failure Warning came on few weeks ago, noticed one of the brake light on the driver side is burned out, the specs calls for 7443 12v21/5w bulb. After replaced with newer LED 7443 bulbs on both side the indicator remain on, thinking it maybe low wattage issue since the LED bulbs is only rated 5W, I replaced with the original incandescent bulbs with same specs, to my surprise the indicator light remain on. I do not see any other bulb burn out, including the center one. Any idea how the resolve this issue?

You sure all the bulbs work including the brake lights? Sometimes the lamp failure box goes bad but usually this is causes by bad bulbs or bulbs that are not the same spec as the originals. If you want to go LED then remove the bulb from the cluster and be happy that's what I do. Won't be any warning if an LED bulb fails but I simply check them once in a while.

Thanks for your quick reply. Yes I am positive all bulbs on the rear worked. The original on burned out is the driver side brake light, which I have replaced in pairs with LED and then the same rated incandescent bulbs.

I've had non OEM bulbs trigger the failure light even though the bulbs worked. Seems odd but it happens. I have a big container full of Toyota bulbs from projects and junk yard visits I wouldn't buy an incandescent bulb new from a dealer.

Wow this is not what I want to hear, I can't believe if the bulb has the same exact specs as OEM it still cause the warning light to stays on, if this is the case I may need to buy the bulbs from a dealer, can't imagine they would cost more that 10 bucks.
I also saw a YouTube video in which some people disabled the warning light permanently, by pulling the contact from the Lamp Failure Sensor module, don't want to go to that route yet.

I have read somewhere that the bulbs have to be a specific wattage that the lamp failure module detects. If that is a myth or not I wouldn't know
