I'm wondering if I can get standard component 4 ohm aftermarket speakers and tweeters for just my front 2 doors to replace them? Crutchfield says it's fine though shops have been telling me no way. I have the non ML standard audio with CD changer version. Any information on the ideal specs to look for to work with the OEM amp for just the front doors' lower speakers and upper tweeters would be appreciated. My other speakers are fine it's just these are rattling and busted.
I'm looking to replace my head unit as well but keep the OEM amp using adapters.
Appreciate it.

So we may want to verify but I suspect it’s all normal 4 ohm. It’s all pioneer.
i had all the original pioneer in my RX 300 and it’s 4 ohm so I swapped to new stuff. Easy peasy.
can’t imagine the ES is any different.

I just blathered on in another thread about me changing out my front woofers and tweeters. I'm inordinately proud of it. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es-...l#post11186214
Oh, and the back of the speakers were stamped 4 ohms.
