2005 ES 330 wobble under acceleration
Hey all. We just picked up a super clean ES 330 we are going to use for grocery runs and to leave at the airport when we travel. It runs straight and smooth down the highway but I can feel what I can only describe as a " wobble " sometimes when I accelerate. It cant be suspension because I never feel it in the wheel. I have searched a bit and have seen comments on motor or trans mounts, and some on CV shafts. I just wanted to ask before I start throwing parts at it.

Hello,
What is meant by "wobble"?
CV Joints can make the steering wobble when they get stuck at some angle, which is usually caused by torn boots or lack of lubrication in the joint, that said, the cause for the car to start wobbling with that malfunction is precisely due to front wheels going side-to-side, so you will definitely notice it on the wheel. Other symptom can be rims and tires, if one or several are bent out of shape, that can lead to a wobble as well, but you should also notice it while braking.. This all comes down to your definition of "wobble", it will be quite helpful if you can record a video of an issue you are having, so that we have a full understanding.
Hope this helps and best of luck!

i don't say vibration because it feels more like a soft surge. I know its not in the wheels or rotors because its not felt in the wheel, or under braking, only under acceleration. At 80 mph with the cruise set the car drives straight and smooth with no pull or vibration of any kind. I dont see how motor mounts could do this, Im leaning towards the CV joints binding while acceleration. I do also hear a slight growl I would normally attribute to a wheel bearing, but the wheels are tight so far wheel I jack it up so they may be on there way out as well.
The best way I can describe it is what you would feel being rolled in a out of round ball.
