Help! S1997 ES 300 sideswiped, driver's side mirror broken off and side scraped, insurance company recommended body shop. Got car back and all seemed fine until within days the radio went out and battery died. After replacing battery, OK for a few days then key in lock did not open or lock all doors (would open or lock just one door). Finally key in lock set off alarms, which stopped with key in ignition but car would not start. Towed to Toyota dealership (Lexus dealership 2 hours away) who blame a faculty computer. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Hello,
Sounds like a lot of stuff all at once, it will be hard to tell something without pictures and a detailed report on what was done during repair, the issues may not even come from the same root. Dead battery means that you got a Parasitic Draw somewhere, here is how to find out what causes it. As for the alarm, here is a post I made a while back about alarm issues caused by a Limit Switch on the key tumbler breaking off causing quite a havoc down the road.
Before settling onto any conclusion, ask for another opinion from another shop. ECU has hardly anything to do with the door unlock mechanism, so I doubt it's your cause, yet if the dealership can guarantee you that a new unit will fix an issue and won't charge you if not, then go for it.
Hope this helps and best of luck!
