I purchased a 2000 ES 300 model in 2018 and never used the CD player. (I have no CD's)

I just realized the CD function won't operate as the the CD changer in the glove compartment appears to be jammed. The eject button is "trying" but not executing. Does anyone know to fix this??

The potential fix is remove the CD transport from the car and open it up to see what's wrong. Generally you can find working ones on Ebay for around $100. Also try disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes this forces a hard reset.

While you can try giving it a few love taps to see what happens, as far as I know the only true way to unjam those from this state is to remove the unit and take it apart.

I did the hard reset and received an Error readout when I pushed the CD control button on the stereo.

I believe the CD changer will have to be removed.
