Car won't start...
...but if I give the car some throttle and start it in Neutral, I can shift into drive and drive the car. But, if I keep it in Park and try to start, it will crank but won't turn over. But again, if I give it throttle, it will crank, turn over and run. Stalls as soon as I let up on the throttle. This is on a bone stock 1997 ES 300 with 144k on the odometer.

Hello,
Sounds like a common issue on those cars with an Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve. Here is a post on how to take it off and inspect/clean it, other than that, it would make sense to clean the rest of the throttle body, just to be sure.
