93 es300 stutter and no acceleration
Hello everyone, new member here. Recently I purchased a 93 es300 with 190k miles. I changed the oil once I got it and it had a new water pump and timing belt done on it prior to purchase. For the first 1500 miles, its ran great but always had a noticeable rough idle once it sat at a red light or for example in a long line in a drive thru, the rpms would go up and down a little bit if sitting for awhile. But now upon start up recently, a even rougher idle and stutter have come out of the exhaust, along with now no power and the rpms won't accelerate over 2krpm. It is barely driveable and has a nasty idle. I put in new spark plugs and that did not change anything. So far upon research I have cleaned the throttle body and IAC and egr valve. If I took a video of the idle and engine running, would someone be able to help me diagnose the problem? Ive found no vacuum leaks as well.

Any coolant loss? What does the engine oil look like? Yes a video would be helpful.

No coolant loss, I did just do a drain and fill on the coolant about 2 weeks ago. Engine oil looks clean since the change. I will be putting the IAC on tomorrow morning and seeing if the cleaning helped anything and I will then post a vid. Could it be a clogged cat?

Possible but it has to be badly clogged to make the engine idle poorly. Could be as simple as bad spark plug wires.

Well I’m having trouble uploading the video. The cleaning did nothing at all. It drives and has low power, but coming to a stop or standstill it now just has a nasty idle, if anybody has any advice, it would be great.
So far I have replaced spark plugs, and cleaned egr, iac, and throttle body.

i know I’m the exhaust bud it sounds almost like a knock but I know it’s not. The car drives almost in a “limp mode” but when coming down to stops or at a stop it just misfires like crazy. Any help would be appreciated !

I can't glean anything from those vids way too short. So did you replace the spark plug wires? I asked but you didn't say.

I will take a better video, I did order a new cap and rotor and wires off eBay…. would this be okay to replace with an eBay special just to see if the new wires help?

Set of NGK is $50, cheap wires are no better than used wires. Don't replace the cap if it's an original unless it is damaged in some way. You can do a quick test on the front bank, pull the spark plug wires one by one see if changes how the engine runs.
Do you have a timing light?
