That looks much better! What brand did you use? I had LED’s in my 2001 ES300 and they weren’t very good. I never changed out my headlights on the 1999.
Actually I’m returning this set of LED and trying maybe another brand.
The lights were bright , no problem there but apparently depending
on your housing or where the bulb is locked, sometimes the bulb
could be aimed in the wrong direction. In this case, the bulb was aimed
up Like high beams with very little light to the road.
I’ll keep everyone posted if my next set it would be a different outcome.

I think that’s the issue I had in my 2001 with the LED’s. Is there a way to adjust them so they aim lower? I sold my car before I ever got to test it out.
Can't help but notice that those lights are shining in the sky instead of ground, and both their patterns have domes on top, which is about as bad as it gets, those bulbs are clearly not designed for reflectors in your headlights. Good thing you at least noticed it, unlike some other "ricers" that keep on driving like that on dark freeways, one of my worst pet peeves about driving at night.
Headlights are much more complicated than they seem to be at the first glance, not only they have a specific pattern to it, here you can learn more details, the Passenger headlight is different from the Driver's one (at least for LHD cars), it pushes more light towards the curbside to make looking out for pedestrians easier, below is the picture. On RHD cars, things are totally opposite, hence why if you see one at night, you will definitely know what just passed from your eyes leaking out.. That is to say that simply lowering those lights won't do any good, you will likely turn your lights into military style blackout lights.
All that is to explain why I am mostly opposed to the idea of just plopping some aftermarket LED, or especially HID bulbs in headlights. Without a proper light stand to check the pattern and necessary adjustments to match the bulbs to current reflectors it is barely worth it, At the least, you will get worse performance than what you already have, at worst, you will be that guy turning everyone's eyes to vapor every night..
looks like my bad as I did not properly installed this first set.
Apparently there is a metal lock clip and that must not have been securec
correctly. I reinstalled my lamps and let me show you the before and after look.
I will test drive at night to see how the light shine but so far it looks substantially better after
re installed
I like the look and I do think the LED is definitely
brighter. I did ordered two other LED bulbs to see if
Other bulbs are brighter. The one I have installed is
purchased from Amazon. How technology have improved
in the last year. If you looked 2 years ago, you would not
find a easy H7 plug and play for our ES
I really like the modern white bulb look with additional brightness.
Stay tuned on my test of the other sets for a comparison.
This set I bought for some reason is not as focused on the left side
and more light from the middle and the right side. This could also be my eyes playing
with my mind though.
So after being the test Guinea pig , here are the two sets you should only consider
1- Auxito
2- Cafpoar
Both sets are really awesome for the 3rd Gen ES300
I actually prefer the Cafopar but it took 3 sets to get the
set to properly worked. I’m not sure if they will last but the light is significantly brighter .
The 1st 2 sets had 1 or both defective bulbs . With the Auxito, it was a perfect 1st set and
the aim and brightness is as good. See above pictures. These are
both “ Plug and play “
Love the LED white lights. They are not only brighter than the halogen
bulbs , they also immediately bring your ES to a modern look with white
bulbs. Here is my CAfopar bulbs . They are really amazing In Hand
Thank you for sharing your experience and posting some photos for comparison.
This past summer I tried installing a set of LED bulbs but ended up returning them because they required modifications to fit. At the time, most LED bulbs were being sold with a cooling fan or a heatsink at the back of the bulb which made it very bulky with extra pigtails that plugged into the harness. I'm curious how the bulbs you tried are able to sustain the cooling demands of LEDs headlights, from what I've read the cooling fans were there to prevent them from overheating. I'm always skeptical of cheap Chinese bulbs that are being sold under a new brand name each month, but it's very tempting to try a simple swap to see what happens. The only thing I'm worried about is burning or melting the harness connectors if these bulbs overheat or decide to malfunction.
Thanks for the reminder about heat and possible malfunction. I just bought them so I have no idea what is the
the possibility they will melt the connectors should they burn out. Now I’m wondering if it is worthwhile but they definitely look
brighter and cleaner. I might see if I can find an adapter for them to ensure the original connector is ok.
LASFIT brand, no fan. I like the brightness. Mine were also pointed up but after checking that they were installed straight they now are pointed correctly. Been using them about two months so far
