Hi there,
New owner of 03’ Lexus ES300. It has just 87k miles miles on it. Cars clean and everything is just perfect. It rides like I have just came out of showroom, But I have a concern,
while I was driving back home today, I got an lag in acceleration around 25mph. I know these cars had an transmission lags and kind of jerks. But, It’s not too bad right now, it was just once in a long drive. Still, what’s the best can I do the have this repaired before it gets any bad?
Secondly, what all you guys do to maintain the leather?
Many thanks
Manveer
That's a pretty car, (even if it is a 4ES ) Can't help you on a fix for the lagging issue, my mother's 4ES shows slight signs of this... Last I checked it was up in the air as to what actually causes it. Some say its the new for 02 TPS system, or the Torque converter, or slow ECM??
As for leather care, Leatherique is pretty popular around here. They sell a kit for a sedan that is about $90 last I checked. This would get rid of that slight shine on the front seat, and return it to its matte finish. Also, keeping it flexible so you don't get any cracks.
