Do we have a idle air control cleaning procedure. Cars idling too high. At start.

Hello,

Here is a detailed guide on how to clean the IAC valve. The high idle at start is its factory setting, there is not a lot you can do about it, which is likely there for emission standards, here is a post on that topic. With that, it will never hurt to clean the IAC..

Thx. It idles at 1700. A hard jumps when put in to gear. Seems a little rough on the transmission. Someone suggested 1300 is more on par for start up idle
