02 Auto headlight + climate control
First question, is there a way to adjust the auto headlights? It can be a dark and stormy day and I feel they should be on but nothing. I used to have a 2018 Civic and the auto headlights would come on at the gas station under the awning. In my 02 ES they wont even come on until its pitch black outside. I have no Lex dealer where I'm at, just Toyota, they quoted me 160$/hr to adjust. Just wondering if there is something I could do. In addition to that question, on the headlight ****, there is no DRL, DRL, DRL with side markers and those small lights by the headlights(that serve no purpose?) and full headlights... should those be gradually going on as it gets darker or am I am just confused, sorry if stupid question.
My next question is about climate control, my lowest is cold and then 65 degrees... 65 degrees puts it at max heat. What would cause that?

I believe, on the 02+ you will need techstream or some similar program in order to adjust that sensor's sensitivity. There are kits with usb OBD2 cables on eBay. Haven't checked on our 02, but on my 00 there is a **** next to the actual sensor, that allows you to adjust the sensor.
As for the heat on 65.. It is either a bad blend motor, blend door cable, or the door is jammed. There is a door that blends heat and a/c depending on what the cabins temperature, in relation to what is set on the dial. Assuming the Auto option is selected, the computer is going to turn the fan on full blast trying to make the cabin close to 65 degrees. However it will constantly blow the hot air, thinking it is blowing cool air in an effort to cool the cabin. So, as long as you can adjust the fan speed manually, that should explain why the fan is going full blast.

This is the diagram for your HVAC duct system. Look at this and maybe search YouTube to see how to access it, so you can see what is going wrong.
Good Luck!

Just realizing I may have misunderstood this last bit? Is it blowing cold air when set to cold, then blowing heat on 65? Then that may be the temp sensor, inside or out, and possibly the sunlight sensor which could affect both of these systems at the same time.
Have you tried getting HVAC codes? This thread will show help you with that.

No kidding, my '04 auto headlights come on late, too. I see cars ahead of mine with their lights turning on while driving underneath trees during full daylight.
The 'backyard solution' is to cover the eye with electrical tape just a bit so it sees darkness and they will then turn on sooner.
Not sure how it's possible there is no DRL setting on your car.
