Angry '06 ES330 Humming noise when rolling or stopping

Hello,

For some time now I have noticed a deep humming that I believe comes from the front of my car. I mostly notice it when I am on my way to school and hit traffic, when I let go of the gas and get slow enough it starts and it also starts when I come to a complete stop. I didn't notice anything special as to why the humming stops, after a couple of seconds it just does. What could the humming be?

Hi!

Is the sound more like metal grinding, or like a motor running? Are you able to tell what area it is coming from?

My car did something like that, when one of my ABS sensors was dirty. The computer thought one of the wheels was stopped, and the ABS system kicked on. I did not have an ABS light on. Are you able to check the sensors with a scan tool? That is really the only way to know, without taking all 4 of them off.
