We have a 95 es300 with an overheating issue, we’re pretty sure it’s the water pump so ordered it and it arrived yesterday. Turns out it’s for 1999-2000, could it still work for the 95 or should we send it back and order a new one? Kind of need it asap so if i can use the one we have i’d really like to

Same water pump/kit you're in luck. Hope you ordered the Aisin TKT024 other brands are questionable to terrible.

Is the Aisin belt kit just the name of the oem timing belt that comes with the oem water pump in one kit?

Yes.
Amazon Amazon

Components are identical to what you buy at the dealer except the timing belt is Mitsuboshi branded not a Toyota. I've installed dozens of these kits they are very reliable.
