Talking A surprise ES turnout in Queens NY meet

Recently we had a meet at a public park in Queens NY where 30 or so Lexus vehicles showed up. 5 ES's (including mine) made it there, which as far as I can remember is the biggest ES attendance at any US meet. We were extremely wowed, even from the GS and SC owners; they know that the ES is not usually represented at the meets as the GS's and SC's. We sure hope that more ES's will come out to the meets in the future, but this is a good start

All the ES's. L to R: steviej, lexusk8, Stefwilli, NYC ES3, FLiP Sp33d

All of us from the rear, minus FLiP Sp33d.

Stefwilli's bass-booming '92 and NYC ES3's tastely modded '97. Looking forward to see the drop on your '92, Stefan!

FLiP Sp33d came as a surprise to the meet, but it was cool to meet him for the first time and his ride. Here's a shot of the unique spoiler on his ES.

Lastly, my just-washed-and-waxed ride sitting next to my friend's recent GS4 purchase.

Those pics. Especially the picture of the rear ends. Is something that caught my eye. If you look closely. It seems that there is no real difference with 96 and down model, as compared to the 97 and up model. But if you actually look hard enough. The whole body is a a different shape, and the 96 and down model actually looks smaller in my opinion?.. What do you think?!

Great pic's!

Hey Steffwilli..

Have you ever thought about totally chroming your front grille? I am thinking about doing it with my silver 96.. As much as i love my car. I have always thought that the front grille was the most boring feature on the car. Mainly because it is the same color as the body... The 97+ models got it right by partly chroming the grille. Just gives it a more stately feel I think?

Yeah I thought about it today. I'll let you try it first and let you post pics. If it's hot then I'll do it too, so please hurry up and get it done. I think it will make the car look more updated.

Yeah, I probably wont be able to get it done in the next few months. As we are heading back to Australia, and will probably do it when we get there!.... But I have already decided to go with it.. I have seen one older es with the chrome, and it looked great... With mine being silver. I know it would class it up a bit....
