es300 trunk won't open - pls help
hello, i have a 94 es300. the key mechanism on the back of the car slowly got to the point where it would not work (key goes in, but won't turn). it had been like this for several years and i had just made do w/ it, because i could use the remote release button to get back there as needed.
now the remote release has stopped working and i can't get into the trunk. is there an easy fix for the remote release (or a well-known fix for the exterior lock mechanism problem). thanks in advance!

As for the exterior lock, you might want to try some WD-40. The remote lock has a valet button inside the glove box that can be inadvertantly hit. Check to make sure you didn't activate the valet function in your glove box.
