Falken ZIEX ZE 512
#3
Four years late, but.....
I prolly shouldn't post till I ride more but despite being of a skeptical frame of mind, I have rarely found such major improvement as in going to H-rated Ziex 512 from Pirelli P4000 M&S (ordinary all-season) tires. Smooth rolling, truly superior handling, just wonderful, as far as I have observed so far.
As a biker, I am very sensitive to bike tire characteristics (typically "sticky" versus long-lived). Likewise with a car, the slip angle needed for turns, precision of going where your think you pointed the car, steering wheel fidgeting, stability on streetcar tracks.... quite wonderful sticky tire, as predicted by the dealer who said I'd like them a lot even if their longevity is poorish. I don't drive a whole lot.
Certainly cheap. I heard the 512 is being discontinued after quite a long run and/or successor bound to be similar. Sure seem good to me. They are uncommon in Toronto. Pity.
