1998 ES300 power steering leak. its a bad line from the reservoir to the pump. im also going to replace the O-ring under the connection piece on the pump. does anyone know the size of power steering line needed? Or the size/material of the O-ring?
thanks!
The O-ring is 90301-11016 I've replaced a few "because I was in there" but none of them were leaking. You sure that line is leaking? They do leak but usually quite slow the high pressure line goes first. No need to go generic Rockauto and other places sell that hose.
Ok awesome! thanks for the details! also, do you happen to know if i should be using ATF instead of power steering fluid? but yes, it looks like its leaking right where the line connects to the pump. its either the line or that O-ring.
Power steering fluid will destroy the pump and the lines use Dexron III or compatible. Amsoil ATF is spectacular for the PS system you'll notice a difference.
