Determining Stock Audio System 96' ES300
I just acquired a 1996 ES300 Coach Edition. It seems like there are 6 total full range speakers and 2 tweeters. I'm trying to determine what the stock speakers sizes are. It seems like the online fit guides all contradict each other. Some say they're 6.5in in rear deck, 6.5in in front doors, 3.5in in the front dash. Some say 6x9 in the rear deck, 5.25in in front doors, 3.5in in the front dash. Others only list 4 speakers. I obviously will be pulling these eventually and will see for myself but I work a lot and wanted to see if anyone knew for sure so I can buy replacements before I start pulling speakers. It is the Coach Edition if that makes a difference.

Pretty sure the rears are 6x9's. The fronts are round and likely 6.5". There are 4 speakers 6 if you count the tweeters. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the factory speakers if you're doing a full system upgrade I'd do the head unit and amp and keep the stock speakers, if you're not happy then replace them. Of course the foam surrounds might be rotted out and you need new speakers.
The speakers are not actually standard specifically the frames you'll need adapter rings or do a bit of modding. Search these part numbers on Ebay to see what they look like

I'm coming from a Yukon XL that had 2 15" subs and some pretty nice after market full ranges which I plan on putting all in this thing. The Yukon had a stock 160amp alternator I believe so I think I'll have to upgrade that as well unfortunately.

I know!! That's why I'm super confused. I work at Best Buy and we have one of the best audio fit guides that exists, but even still it's super vague. The 96' seems unique compared to other years. I'll just have to wait until my guys get in there and see for themselves. I'll update this so that the information is available.
