I'm thinking about upgrading my headlights on my 2005 ES330. They don't project as far and are dimmer than my other vehicles. I believe they are halogen lights, so I was wondering if there are any recommendations for halogen to HID lamp kits, or if there are better alternatives available.

Some of those cars came factory equipped with HID headlights, the problem is that they can run you a few pennies, besides the fact that you will also need an auto-aim system installed and wired, the intensity of HID bulbs mandates one.

In case of retrofitting though, LED tends to be an easier option, but I can't say I am a fan of those, even factory equipped cars tend to mess things up pretty badly, blinding the heck out of all the opposite traffic (Escalade). In any case, here is a thread that goes into details.

LED bulbs are much better than they used to be, using the above as a guide find a set that work well in a projector.
