Hoping someone can help give some insight on the codes I listed above using Techstream, also had codes P0500 in "cruise control" and C1201 in "ABS/SC/TRAC" but those might just be related to the lights the VSC engine light when it came on.
Background- Lexus ES350 2007 about 130k miles. Started hearing a slight whining noise as I was accelerating/decelerating but would go away if I put in neutral. Car driving fine at this point. Making a bit of noise when I start it up but seems to go away when it warms up some. Doing a little research decide to flush tranny fluid, do that and fluid is as expected fairly dark but no obvious metal bits found. Car still making whining noise and driving ok but noticing a little sticking when I put it into gear. I take it to a mechanic who says he thinks its the torque converter and wants to change the whole transmission out.
I pick up the car from the shop and the next day as I drove about 3 miles the car was not shifting, RPM would shoot up but not really moving then the check engine and VSC lights come on. I struggle to get it home about 1 mile with the car seemingly going into limp mode and not going anywhere at times. Had to turn off/restart a few times which helped get it home but struggled mightily. I pull the codes using techstream and all seem to be related to the solenoids. After looking through the thread here I found someone that had a similar issue here but didn't seem quite as extreme as mine https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es-...olenoid-a.html. I started to open the transmission from the bottom taking off the pan and filter to access the solenoids. The pan did have some metal on the magnets but I'm not sure what would be considered a normal amount for a car of year/mileage and never having changed the tranny fluid. I was trying to run the suggested test but couldn't get to the TCM, I assume you need to remove the air box to get to it? If anyone can confirm if give advice on that would be great. Thinking of changing the whole valve body out but worried maybe the clutch is bad, I have seen some information on the clutch being the culprit to these codes and at this point mine really does not engage. Any pointers would be great!

It sounds like you need a new transmission, or a used one.
You could try the solenoids and maybe another fluid change but they may not help, it is probably beyond band aids like that.
There are a few youtube videos regarding this transmission, which is used in many Toyota and Lexus vehicles. it is called the U660E.
See this:

Here is the youtube link. Somehow in the above post both links got mangled into one big link that I could not separate.
Where are you in VA? If in Northern VA then Brandywine used auto parts in Prince Georges County Maryland may have one and they do installations. https://www.brandywineparts.com/
A cousin used them to supply and install a transmission in her MINI Cooper.

First of all, I would remove the pan and test all the solenoids. I think one of them is getting stuck most of the time.
In the same time, replace the filter/oil.

See this and this https://www.fivestartransmissionpart...ed-and-tested/

and this https://maktrans.net/u660
If you want to venture a few hundred bucks and some effort you could drop the pan and replace the valve body & solenoids plus the filter while you are at it. Get an OEM filter.
Make sure you get a valve body for the pre 2011 ES350/Camry etc as they changed after that.
A couple of excellent replacements for Toyota WS are Idemitsu TLS-LV ATF which is available from Amazon in 5 quart jugs. I am running it in my RX, Sienna and the hybrid. It is designed as a direct replacement for WS with better specs. https://www.idemitsulubricants.com/p...tf-type-tls-lv
See
I used to MAG One Full Synthetic multi vehicle low viscosity in my RX for several years until I found Idemitsu and it worked very well. I think it shifted better on the MAG ONE than WS,
I have a hard time deciding if they work better on the Idemitsu or the MAG ONE.
There is a Ravenol T-WS full synthetic replacement for WS but it is more expensive. https://www.blauparts.com/aisin-warn...gaAkWhEALw_wcB
