Default Rear Struts

Have a 2008 ES350 with 150k miles. Just had the front struts replaced as I was getting loud noises when going over bumps. Now wondering if I should replace the rear? Only issue I notice with the rear is they squeak when going over bumps at low speeds.

Hello,

A video of the sound would be helpful.

It's really hard to tell with information given, it can literally be anything in the rear, or even front suspension. Try lifting the car and visually inspecting all the components, paying close attention to sway bar end links, as they are usually overlooked and known to cause a racket.

Hope this helps and best of luck!

I agree, cars this age will squeak and groan like mad sometimes, especially in cold weather. Mine developed a creek, funnily enough only when driving, never stationary and bumping it up/down. Took it to my mechanic who said it is proably sway bar links, had them replaced and improved a lot, but there are still other creaks present.

Yep, I don't drive it a whole lot, so I'm letting it get a little bit worse before I get it looked at again, because it should be easier to spot what's worn.

Kind of sounds like what mine does. I pushed up and down on the rear when parked and no noise. I'll have them looks at next time I have it in for repair.

Well, the sway bar links were replaced but the problem has come back in warmer weather, I'll get my mechanic to take another look at the next oil change next month!
