Default Touch Door Unlock?

Hi everyone. First post here. Hoping you guys can help me out.

Long story short, I have a new to me 2010 ES350. Door lock actuator and wasn’t working so I had it replaced. To my surprise not only could I now unlock the door via the fob, I could also do it using the door handle. I didn’t even know I had touch door handles until this point. I didn’t know what I was doing so I kept holding the door handle while pushing the black button. Anyway, I figured it out after a few tries that touch was unlock and button was lock. Worked great for about a day and a half then just suddenly stopped working. I can still unlock via the fob. All the other door handle touch sensors work for unlocking all the doors. But I get no response whatsoever when I touch the driver door handle.

What could be wrong? Could I have damaged it by being stupid the first few times? How do I fix this? Any and all input would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

When you touch one of the other three door handles, does the driver's door unlock/lock? If not, the actuator probably needs to be replaced.

exactly. I can still unlock the driver door by touching the other three door handles.

Have you replaced the battery in your key FOB lately? My door lock features always start acting crazy when the key FOB battery is getting low.

I think your touch sensor has a bad contact. The door lock actuator should be fine.

Tried that too. Put a fresh battery in. Still nothing.

does this call for a new door handle altogether? Or is there a fox for this?

You can fix if there is a short in touch sendor cables.
If the sensor is faulty then you must replace it.

Also, you can put the sensor from the rear door.
