2011 ES 350 - Wheel vibrations
Hello all,
Looking for some possible suggestions/recommendations.
Car is a 2011 ES350, with approx. 30k miles. The car "vibrates" in the lower speed range (from 15mph-30mph), and with light acceleration. The vibration can be felt when turning, or when going slightly up a hill.
Both CV axles were replaced. Tires are good. Car runs very well. No vibrations when at higher speeds or accelerating.
Thanks.

I would rule out the obvious suspects like wheel balance first before moving onto other causes.
EDIT: Reading this again, sounds highly like a wheel balance issue, a telltale symptom is that the vibration goes away at higher speeds.

Agreed with all above. Too, cheap replacement axles may be responsible. The OEM axles from the dealer are pricey, but they are worth it if you want to keep the smooth Lexus feel of the vehicle. Too often, mechanics choose quick, cheap aftermarket axles vs simply rebuilding the OEM's. Rebuilding is the next best alternative to replacing with OEM axles.
