2008 ES350 vibration in steering wheel at highway speeds
Recently bought a 2008 ES350 which has 120k miles and is in pretty good shape. Engine runs fine, transmission shifts fine too, but I get a vibration in the steering wheel at highway speeds. It's like a shudder for a second, then it goes away and comes back a second later. Constant on off vibration at intervals of about 1 second. I second smooth, 1 second vibration, and on and on. Makes it pretty unpleasant to drive on the highway. And the car does pull to the left a bit, so it seems like it needs an alignment.
Does it sound like the alignment would be what is causing that problem, or is it more likely that I'm looking at problems with the CV axles?

Check the usual culprits:
- Tire pressure
- Wheel balancing (most likely candidate)
- Steering components (control arms, etc)
- Engine mounts (if you only notice it on acceleration)
